This CD is simply amazing. Over the years Attack Attack! (AA!) has had some pretty big changes, but I think with Caleb Shomo doing both Scream and Clean vocals was the best decision. This album doesn’t ever have a bad point in it. This band doesn’t rely on the heaviest breakdowns or super low vocals. They have the right amount of heaviness and the way they go into their clean singing is great. A LOT of people say that they have become so mainstream that they’re horrible. Now what these people don’t know are, that just because a lot of people are listening to them doesn’t make them mainstream. Bands change…Let me say that again, Bands CHANGE. Don’t go on telling everyone that they are so horrible, because they aren’t. This CD shows a wide range of what they can do/have done. This CD is a huge improvement from their last album “Attack Attack! Self-Titled”. One thing that they didn’t bring to this CD is the fake rap stuff, which I think was a good idea. Don’t get me wrong I thought it was funny and that’s why they did it, as far as I can tell. But I think that stuff was better when Austin Carlile was in the band. Which a lot of people will also say that Austin was the better vocalist. I love Austin, but I believe that he is a better fit in Of Mice & Men and Caleb is the best fit for AA!. If anyone says that they sound like everyone else, they are just plain and simple, ignorant. How many bands have vocals like Caleb? Seriously? If you name a band…I can probably bet you that they came after AA!. In my eyes this is their best work. I can’t wait to see what they put out next, it can only get better!
